Anthony SmithAnthony Smith was the president of Magdalen College, Oxford between 1988 and 2005. Before that he held the post of Director of the British Film Institute after spending many years as a television producer at the BBC. He has been much involved in the politics of broadcasting in Britain and other countries and has written a number of books about national policy in radio and television, the cinema and the press. Anthony is the chairman of a number of UK Charities including Oxford Russia Fund and the Hill Foundation. |
